The AZ-Touch MKR V2 is a fully-assembled wall-mount enclosure compatible with a range of Arduino MKR and Nano boards*, complete with a 2.8" resistive touch screen for making your own professional home automation interface!
New V2 Version: This new version uses a larger 2.8" display and is now compatible with both the Arduino MKR series and Nano 33 IoT, BLE, BLE Sense and RP2040!
This assembled version removes the need to solder parts and comes with a host of handy features such as the included 2.8" display, buzzer, space for batteries/antennas, vertical and horizontal mounting, wide-range power supply (9-35V) and a breadboard area for your own additional circuits.
*Please check the compatibility section below to identify compatible MKR/Nano boards and shields. MKR/Nano board not included!
2.8" touchscreen with integrated ILI9341 display controller, communication via SPI. Touch controller Type XPT2046 and resistive touch.
The assembled PCB inside the unit comes with two breakthroughs for an antenna and a lithium battery cable (not included). The battery and antenna can be placed inside the device beside the touchscreen.
Depending on your project and your software you can mount the enclosure set vertically or horizontally, directly on the wall or in front of a flush wall mount box.
A removable terminal block makes installation easier. The PCBs are mounted on the enclosure allowing a rapid substitution of the devices when required, facilitating the assembling/disassembling of the enclosure.
The AZ-Touch PCB comes with an integrated switching regulator for voltages from 9V to 35V DC. You can connect the power supply via the terminal or an optional DC socket.
The integrated piezo buzzer (resonance frequency 4kHz) can be used to generate acoustic feedback, acknowledge tones or melodies.
A small breadboard area at the top of the PCB can be used for your own extensions. Two poles of the terminal are connected together with some GPIOs and the voltages with solder joints next to the breadboard.
The AZ-Touch MKR V2 can be used with the following Arduino boards.
MKR Series
Nano Series
NOT compatible with the Arduino Portenta and the classic Arduino Nano (with ATMEGA processor)
For the Arduino MKR series, a number of different shields are available. Not all of them will fit inside this enclosure. Please see the compatibility list below:
